INGREDIENTS

3 medium apples, peeled and chopped (about 6 cups)
6 medium carrots, peeled and chopped (about 3 cups)
1 sweet potato, peeled and chopped (about 2 cups)

DIRECTIONS

Place chopped apples, carrots, and sweet potato in steamer basket over a pot of boiling water. Reduce to a simmer and allow the fruits and vegetables to steam over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until sweet potato is tender. Reserve ¾ cup of the cooking liquid and save that for blending. Drain the rest of the water and let the fruits and vegetables cool slightly. Transfer the reserved water and steamed fruits and vegetables to a blender and blend until it becomes a smooth puree. Store in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours or freeze for up to 3 months.
