Tibisay Guzman is a program coordinator for Brighter Bites in Houston. She began her career at Brighter Bites as a program associate in the summer of 2018 and flourished into a program coordinator in summer 2019.
Tibisay is a proud Houston native, who received her undergraduate degree in health promotion from the University of Houston. During college, she interned with the Houston Health Department where she participated in an outreach project for children. That experience spiked an interest in teaching children how to become healthier versions of themselves. Tibisay is passionate about helping others by volunteering and making connections with families in the communities where her she is needed most. When she discovered Brighter Bites, she was certain that she was meant to work with the organization. Tibisay believes that children are the future and providing them with the resources to lead healthier lifestyles will impact the whole community.
Tibisay has a passion for dance and culture, having participated in Ballet Folklorico for over 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoys taking Zumba classes, trying new foods, watching sports, and being creative. She loves spending time with her family, including her son and dog Thor.
