Sasha Ledesma is the Senior Operations Coordinator for Brighter Bites in Washington, D.C. She was born in The Bronx in New York City and grew up in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. With a passion for health, wellness and serving communities, Sasha studied at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she completed her degree in Family Science from the School of Public Health. After completing her degree, Sasha took her passion to her local communities where she worked directly with serving underrepresented populations in the educational setting. During this time, Sasha had the privilege of working alongside Brighter Bites as a partner for several years and was constantly inspired by the positive impact that the program had on the students and families which she served. Being able to merge her passions for health, wellness and serving communities, Sasha is excited to be a part of the Brighter Bites team and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on students and families in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. Outside of Brighter Bites, Sasha enjoys spending time in nature, planting and gardening, practicing film photography and exploring the arts.
