Makayla was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with her bachelor’s degree in Health and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Health, Community, and Policy. She began her journey as an intern at Brighter Bites, where she enjoyed providing families with fresh fruits and vegetables and seeing the positive impact on the community. This experience sparked her passion for making a difference, and she now happily serves as a Program Coordinator, continuing to support and empower families to live healthier lives. In her free time, Makayla loves spending time with family and friends, watching new shows, and traveling to discover new places. She is excited to keep making a positive impact in the San Antonio community.
