Maggie Mangrum, MPH
Brighter Bites, Austin
Maggie Mangrum is the program director of Brighter Bites in Austin. Prior to joining the team, Maggie’s graduate school practicum and subsequent work focused on culinary and nutrition education for K-8 youth in the Edible Schoolyard program at the Arthur Ashe Charter School in New Orleans.
Before attending graduate school, Maggie provided human resource, operations, and communications expertise as a consultant to small businesses and startups in San Francisco. Prior to starting her own consultancy, Maggie worked on the human resources and communications teams at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in San Francisco and on the development team at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.
Maggie is passionate about food and its capacity to change lives for the better. When she’s not reading about, talking about or sharing food, she enjoys running, writing, art, and listening to live music. Maggie has a BA in public communication from American University and an MPH from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
