Jonathan Hernandez is a Program Coordinator for Brighter Bites in Houston. Born and raised in the Southwest side of Houston by a mother and father who are both first-generation immigrants from Latin America, he learned the importance of having a strong community that looks out for one another. With a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston, Jonathan joined Brighter Bites in order to accomplish his dreams of giving back to his community. Through Brighter Bites, Jonathan found his passion for providing healthy changes and support to the same neighborhoods he grew up in. Whether by putting food directly in people’s hands, or by just being a friend to the families he serves, you’ll find Jonathan doing what he loves the most: bringing Brighter Bites and even brighter smiles into their lives!
