Dana Rizer
Institutional Giving Manager
Dana is the Grant Writer for Brighter Bites. She is also a wellness educator, writer, and lifelong food enthusiast. Dana has a Master’s degree in Food Studies and Food Systems from New York University and completed professional culinary training at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. Prior to joining Brighter Bites’ team, she served as the Executive Director at FEAST, a national nonprofit that brings Food Education, Access, and Support Together to ensure that all individuals have access to the ingredients that create health and wellness. Under her leadership, FEAST expanded from its first program site in Los Angeles in 2014 to six other cities, including NYC.
In her free time, Dana enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and dancing with her toddler, Arrow! She is also a 500-hour Advanced Registered Yoga Teacher, a lead teacher for Wanderlust TV, and a former facilitator of professional yoga teacher trainings through the Nosara Yoga Institute. In all of her endeavors, Dana is committed to helping others live their most nourishing lives.
