Small changes to our diet can make a big impact in our overall health. This #NationalHeartMonth, we’re proud to share how Brighter Bites' nutrition education inspires families to embrace heart-healthy habits in the communities we serve. ❤️

Here are some simple swaps we teach:
🥕🥒Thinly sliced carrots, cucumber, zucchini, and celery serve as a great “chip” for dipping with salsa or hummus.
🍋Try sparkling water with lemon or lime instead of soda.

Calling all high school students!

Brighter Bites is Building Brighter Futures through its first youth-led initiative: The Brighter Bites Youth Leadership Council.

The Youth Leadership Council at Brighter Bites is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders by providing opportunities for young people to engage, advocate, and create positive change in health and wellness. Through education, collaboration, and action, we aim to inspire and equip youth to become passionate advocates for healthier communities and brighter futures for all.

This work supports the long-term health of the communities we serve, and we look forward to delivering many more produce bags with the help of #ProjectDASH!

📢 Exciting news! #BrighterBites has officially launched in Greater Philadelphia! 🎉🥕

We’re bringing fresh produce, fun recipe demos, and hands-on nutrition education to six schools in the Bensalem Township School District—impacting nearly 900 families and distributing 144,000 pounds of fresh fruits and veggies! 🍎🥦

A huge thank you to SNAP-Ed Pennsylvania and @sharingexcess for making this possible. Together, we're creating healthier futures, one bite at a time!
